ABIQUIU MAINTENANCE YARD PAVING

This project consists of the demolition, regrading, rock removal, and installation of new pavement and drainage improvements along the south side of the Maintenance Yard at the Abiquiu Dam administrative area. Also included in this scope of work is cleaning and sealing the existing asphalt pavement in the south area of the Maintenance Yard and subgrade preparation and base course placement.

RENOVATION OF BUILDING R8301 (CMAFS)

As part of the Renovation of Building R8301 at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, Sky Blue Builders was contracted to renovate the existing SCIF (Secured Compartmentalized Information Facility) for new tenant. Scope of work consisted of extensive electrical upgrades, new wall system, new static control carpet, relocation of doors, HVAC upgrades, reconfiguration of fire alarm & fire sprinkler system, paint, suspended ceiling and rough in for telecommunications and video systems.

NC-135 Demolition Project

NC-135 consists of approximately 13 fenced acres of developed land with over 43,000 square feet of single story, prefabricated buildings and trailers to be demolished in a effort to bring the site back to brownfield conditions.

GSA BUILDING 46 OVS RENOVATION

Renovation of existing 10,974 SF office into a more open space and modern space layout to house 60 employees. Scope or work consisted of demolition, glass parition, MEP upgrades, new flooring, fire sprinkler/alarm upgrades, new fixtures and hardware and new glass curtain wall.

ROOFING REPAIRS (10 BUILDINGS)

Due to roof leakage, Sky Blue Builders was contracted to repair and install new energy efficient roofing systems on 10 buildings within Schriever AFB. New assemblies consisted of rigid insulation and a TPO fully adhered membrane. In addition, several of the buildings were located within the Restricted Area.

FORT CARSON – REPAIR BUILDING 330

Design and construction of a new fire sprinkler system at Building 330. The intent of the system is to bring the newly installed storage racks into code compliance with new fire suppression and safety system. Work also includes repair and replacement of various damaged or deficient doors to improve the thermal envelope of the building.

TIMPANOGOS CAVE ROCK WALL & ROCK TRAP

Complex Design-Build project for NPS included the removal of existing temporary fencing and the design and installation of new guide trails, and repair of the rock trap. The first scope of work – the guide walls – consists of the installation of natural rock walls, rock posts and/or steel pole and wire chain rails along various portions of the 1.5 mile trail leading up to the cave. The second scope – the rock trap – consists of repairing three steel doors that are used to hold and release debris from the trap, and replacement of chain link fence and rock trap curtain to divert and guide debris to the rock trap doors.

IDIQ Multiple Award Task Order Contract for Construction at the NIST, Boulder & Ft Collins sites. STM RSF A WING WEST PARKING AREA

The STM RSF A Wing West Parking Area project consists of design and construction to enhance safety for the pedestrians and occupants of RSF as well as to improve emergency vehicle access. This project will define about seven new vehicle parking spots by repurposing some landscape/plaza areas to allow defined vehicular parking areas that will be able to resolve or reduce the current traffic flow and parking issues.

Reconditioning of the existing ditches and the Mesa Access Road due to damage incurred during 2013 flooding. Sky Blue Builders provided a value engineering option to NIST which saved the government $17,000.

This 4-year, $3.75M contract is for all tenant improvement projects under $150K at the Denver Federal Center. Sky Blue Builders currently has a full-time superintendent, project manager, and field personnel (6 carpenters/laborers, 2 electricians) to complete a variety of work from installing new drop outlets and carpet replacement to complete office remodels and major security system upgrades.

Jewel Cave Repair Parking Lot and Drainage System

Construction of a new parking lot and innovative drainage system to mitigate seepage from the lot into the Cave. Work included removal and replacement of the existing parking lot, construction of a storm water collection system, construction of a storm water treatment system, removal & replacement of handicap accessible ramps from the parking lot to the visitor center, replacement of the ticket sales kiosk and rehabilitation of the existing storm water discharge channel.

BUILDING 1 CAFETERIA REMODEL

This project for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder consisted of an upgrade and remodel of the cafeteria located in Building 1. The work included demolition of the outdated kitchen/cafeteria space as well as preparation for installation of all new kitchen equipment. The cafeteria space is located within an occupied building on the NIST campus.
