The CPLT Boiler 6 Replacement project at Denver International Airport involved the removal and replacement of a mission-critical boiler system serving the airport’s central heating and domestic hot water infrastructure.

The scope included installation of a new boiler, fuel oil piping, compressed air lines, electrical service upgrades, and integrated control systems. Construction was executed through a six-phase installation plan designed to maintain continuous plant operations and avoid any disruption to airport heating capacity. All phases were completed ahead of the winter 2023–2024 season.

The project included multiple crane operations, night work, and stringent safety planning, including Activity Hazard Analyses and detailed crane lift plans. Through careful sequencing and coordination, Sky Blue Builders maintained zero operational downtime throughout construction.

Collaborative procurement planning was employed to mitigate supply chain challenges and ensure timely commissioning. The project was completed with no recordable safety incidents, reinforcing Sky Blue Builders’ ability to execute complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades within highly secure, continuously operating airport.
