Sky Blue Builders completed the adaptive reuse of an existing downtown space to support Emily Griffith’s cosmetology and barbershop training programs. Delivered as a design-assist project, the work included coordinated upgrades to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, along with interior finishes that transformed the former printing shop into a functional, student-ready learning environment.
Through extensive collaboration with the design team, owner’s representative, and client, Sky Blue Builders led value engineering and constructability reviews to align scope and cost while maintaining performance and durability. The downtown location required careful planning around site logistics, material deliveries, and pedestrian safety, while a condensed construction schedule demanded disciplined sequencing and concurrent execution of multiple scopes. Through proactive coordination and responsive field leadership, the project was completed on time for student occupancy and in support of Emily Griffith’s educational mission.
