Under this 5-Year IDIQ contract, Sky Blue Builders has completed a wide range of federal construction projects ranging from full tenant renovations and life-safety upgrades to building repairs and mission-critical infrastructure improvements. Work was performed in active, occupied federal facilities requiring strict adherence to GSA standards, security protocols, and agency-specific operational requirements.

A representative project under the Region 8 MACC includes the Building 41 U.S. Census Bureau Tenant Renovation, a 15,000-SF interior reconfiguration designed to support a post-COVID workplace model. The project included joint-use workspaces, collaborative zones, mechanical and server rooms, ADA upgrades, and new life-safety egress improvements. Sky Blue Builders managed extensive HVAC, electrical, and fire-life-safety coordination while maintaining uninterrupted operations for adjacent tenants.

A consistent challenge across these efforts was the presence of unforeseen conditions common to aging federal facilities, including outdated building systems, hazardous materials, and complex floor assemblies. Sky Blue Builders addressed these issues through proactive coordination with GSA, building managers, and end-user agencies, implementing rapid solutions while maintaining schedule, budget, and compliance with federal procedures such as HSPD-12 badging, WH-347 payroll reporting, and sustainability requirements.

Under this Region 8 IDIQ, Sky Blue Builders demonstrates the depth of experience required to deliver reliable, responsive construction services within secure federal environments—balancing technical execution, stakeholder coordination, and operational continuity.
