Port Of Entry

Sky Blue Builders was responsible for constructing the Northbound and Southbound Port of Entries which consisted of the demolition of the existing structures, construction of 2 new NB/SB Port of Entry Buildings, new Southbound Inspections structure, and associated civil and ITS Elements. These ground-up 1,500 SF structures were constructed simultaneously alongside the heavily trafficked I-25 corridor within a constrained site. Extensive coordination, pre-planning, scheduling, and site logistics were critical to deliver this project under a fast-tracked schedule. The Port of Entry project had an extensive exterior package that included sidewalks, bollards, asphalt paving, etc. In addition, this project was constructed in a challenging environment. Work was performed in a constrained site that was adjacent to the heavily trafficked I-25 corridor which required extensive logistics, material delivery, and safety protocols to be implemented.

GIPLIN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES

The Gilpin County Public Health & Human Services design-build project is the renovation of a 2-story 5,000 SF residential structure for the utilization of two county agencies, Public Health & Human Services. This Green-Globes Level 3 (similar to LEED Silver) renovation consisted of extensive electrical, mechanical, and interior renovations in order to comply with the Green Globes requirements. Extensive programming was conducted with the end users to ensure that the special layout and configuration met their expectations and needs.

CCD ENHANCED BICYCLE FACILITY CONSTRUCTION SERVICES ON-CALL

This $5.4 Million, 3-year contract consisted of a variety of scopes of work, including demolition, landscape restoration, concrete pavement, curb inlets, reinforced concrete pipe, concrete sidewalk and ramps, curb & gutter, signage, site furnishings, irrigation, pavement markings and survey

Ellie Caulkins Opera House ADA Improvements

Under a 3 Phase construction approach, Sky Blue Builders was responsible for correcting AFA non-compliant elements throughout the historic Ellie Caulkins Opera House. This included bathroom remodels and upgrades, stage area, and Loge Level lobby upgrades being completed while the theater remained fully operational.

On-Call Construction Services โ€“ Vertical Project Delivery (SBE)

Under this 3-year, $5 Million On-Call Contract, Sky Blue Builders is responsible for performing miscellaneous construction work on municipal buildings under 12 City & County of Denver Departments/Agencies. Scopes of work include roof replacement, mechanical upgrades (HVAC controls), lighting retrofit, concrete/asphalt replacement, and other various services.
