Sky Blue Builders was honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA) at Denver International Airport (DEN), where the company proudly served as the builder on this transformational, first-of-its-kind facility.
CEEA is a cornerstone of DEN’s Vision 100 strategic plan, supporting the airport’s growth toward 100 million annual passengers while positioning Denver as a national hub for aviation talent. The Center is designed to advance workforce development, expand access for underserved communities, and drive research and innovation across the aviation industry.
Located on Level 4 of the Hotel and Transit Center, the 66,000-square-foot facility brings together business development training, career pathways, and research and innovation under one roof. Key features include multiple lecture halls, flexible training rooms, a lobby café, and the Bessie Coleman | Ed Dwight Hall of Equity.
A defining element of the Center, the Hall of Equity serves as a powerful reminder that progress does not happen by accident. It honors trailblazers such as Bessie Coleman, who pursued flight when doors were closed to her, and Ed Dwight, who pushed boundaries in aerospace and beyond—individuals whose courage and persistence continue to inspire future generations.
The ribbon cutting marked the completion of construction, with the facility expected to be fully operational in early spring 2026. The project represents the very best of collaboration, craftsmanship, and shared purpose among the airport, community leaders, industry partners, and the many subcontractors, trade partners, and suppliers who helped bring this vision to life.
Sky Blue Builders is deeply grateful to everyone involved in delivering a facility that will create lasting opportunity and expand access to careers in aviation for years to come.
