Sky Blue Builders completed comprehensive on-call construction services to the Regional Transportation District, supporting maintenance, repairs, and targeted improvements across across all RTD modes, including rail and bus. The contract enabled rapid mobilization for a wide range of civil, structural, and site-related scopes within active transportation corridors.
Work under the contract included earthwork, utility installation, storm systems, erosion control, retaining walls, paving, concrete flatwork, curb and gutter, lighting, striping, fencing, and landscaping. Transit-specific improvements also extended along active light rail trackage, including grade adjustments, crossing panel modifications, and drainage channel work adjacent to the trackway.
Completed task orders such as the 43rd Avenue Pedestrian Detour, 41st and York curb repairs, and the Decatur Parking Lot demonstrate Sky Blue Builders’ ability to execute safely and efficiently within constrained, high-traffic environments. Each assignment required coordination with RTD operations, traffic control planning, and sequencing to maintain public safety and system continuity.
